# Create Pillar

> Creates a Knowledge Base pillar (a subject area that groups brand facts) from a name and optional description. Get-or-create semantics: if a pillar with the same name already exists (case-insensitive), it is returned with `created: false` instead of failing, so retries and re-imports are idempotent. Requires a website-admin API key. Also available as the MCP tool `create_pillar`.
