Overview

Prompt Universe is Athena’s discovery engine for the prompts that matter in your category. It pulls in real signals from search data, competitor coverage, and audience conversations, then surfaces the gaps your brand isn’t tracking yet - so you can decide what to monitor next.

What it does

Maps your category - Pulls search terms your brand and direct competitors rank for, plus the topics audiences are actively discussing. Generates real prompts - Translates raw search data and audience conversations into prompts a real user would type into a search engine or AI assistant. Isolates the gaps - Compares everything against the prompts you already monitor so you only review opportunities that add value. Makes it actionable - One-click to start tracking selected prompts.

When to use it

You’re setting up tracking for a new brand or category Run a Prompt Universe analysis to seed your monitored prompt set with a defensible, data-backed starting list rather than guessing. You suspect competitors are pulling ahead in topics you’re not tracking Surface the prompts competitors rank for that you haven’t yet covered - labeled by source so you know whether the signal came from search, audience conversation, or both. You want to expand into a new product line or audience Re-run an analysis scoped to the new area to discover the prompts that audience uses before you commit to a tracking plan. You need to justify a content or SEO investment Each recommended prompt comes with a strategic narrative explaining why it matters and which signal supports it.

Getting started

Create a new analysis - Step-by-step guide to running your first Prompt Universe analysis from the UI. Enterprise-only. The Universe tab shows a lock icon if your workspace doesn’t have access.
  1. Go to the Prompts tab and click Universe.
  2. Select + New Analysis.
  3. Allow an hour for the tool to generate recommendations
  4. Upon completion, you’ll find Prompt recommendations categorized by topics along with -
    • Funnel distribution info (TOFU, MOFU, BOFU)
    • Intent distribution info (Informational, Commercial, Transactional)
    • Estimated Volume by Topic
  5. Select Prompts you’d like to track, either individually or by topic and use the + Add Prompts button on the top right to add them to your Prompt list.
