The Insights page acts as the customer’s strategic command center, surfacing AI-generated weekly insights about their brand’s visibility and highlighting proactive content opportunities. Instead of requiring users to manually sift through charts and raw data to figure out what to do next, this page tells them exactly what is happening and provides actionable steps to fix or capitalize on it. It sits at the core of a customer’s workflow by bridging the gap between analytics and execution. Each insight comes with a built-in action checklist. For customers with the Ask Athena feature on their plan, they can even pull the AI directly into a chat panel to help them execute those steps right then and there. What’s on the page
Page Header
Displays the page title and subtitle. On the right side, it contains the global Date Range filter and the “Refresh Insights” button to manually trigger a new generation cycle.Insights / Opportunities Tab Bar
Allows the user to toggle between the two main views of the page: the proactive weekly Insights list, and the Opportunities panel (which focuses specifically on creating or optimizing content).Insight Status Filter (Open / Done / Discarded)
Located just above the insight cards, this row of tabs filters the list to show open, completed, or discarded insights. Each tab includes a numerical count badge indicating how many insights fall into that status category.Insight Cards List
Renders each proactive insight as a discrete card. The top of the card shows priority bars alongside an impact/effort indicator (e.g., “High impact, low effort”), the creation date, a category badge (e.g., “Content”, “Prompt”), and the title.Insight Card – Left Panel (Content)
The left two-thirds of the card is dedicated to explaining the insight. It contains the descriptive text detailing the issue or opportunity. At the bottom, a “Supporting Data” button indicates how many specific data points informed this insight.Insight Card – Supporting Data View
When the “Supporting Data” button is clicked, the left panel flips to display the raw data points that back the insight, presented as a list of label/value pairs. A “Back” button allows the user to return to the text description.Insight Card – Right Panel (Action)
The right one-third of the card contains a highly interactive action checklist. It displays the steps required to resolve the insight, an input to add custom actions, and primary action buttons (“Mark done”, “Ask Athena”, and a ”⋯” More menu).Content Opportunities Panel
Visible when the “Opportunities” tab is selected. It displays AI-generated content recommendations (flagged as either “Create” or “Optimize”). Active opportunities are grouped into “In Progress” and “To Do” sections. Below the active cards, collapsible sections contain past, completed, and deleted history. What you can do here

- Add Action: Click “Add action” to open an inline text input, allowing you to type a custom step and add it to the checklist.
- Edit Action: Click directly on the text of any action step. An inline text area will appear; your changes save automatically when you click away or press Cmd/Ctrl+Enter.

- Discard Insight: Open the ⋯ (More) menu in the bottom-right corner of the card and select Discard. This opens the Discard Insight modal dialog, where you must select a reason (“Not relevant to my business”, “Already addressed”, “Not actionable”, “Data seems incorrect”, “Other”) and can optionally provide an explanation. Once confirmed, the insight is moved to the Discarded tab.
Content Opportunity Actions
- Start: Click this on a Content Opportunity card to apply the recommendation. This navigates you to the
/contenteditor page with a new draft pre-populated based on the opportunity’s brief. - Continue: For opportunities you have already started, this button resumes your work, navigating you directly back to your in-progress draft in the content editor.
- Discard: Click this to reject an unstarted recommendation. It opens a Discard Recommendation modal with a reason picker (“Not relevant to my business”, “Already addressed”, “Low priority right now”, “Disagree with the analysis”, “Other”) and a free-text input. Once submitted, the recommendation is discarded.
- Delete: For in-progress opportunities, the Discard button is replaced by a Delete option inside a ⋯ (More) menu. Clicking it opens the same Discard Recommendation modal.
- Toggle visibility of old/filtered items: Click the Filtered out by date, Completed, or Deleted headers at the bottom of the page to expand or collapse lists of older recommendations.

Linked from / links to
- Linked from: The main left navigation sidebar (clicking “Insights”).
- Links to: The
/contenteditor page (via “Start” or “Continue” buttons on Content Opportunity cards), and the/settings/billingpage (via the “View Plans” link if a user without the Ask Athena feature attempts to access locked capabilities).
Common support questions
- Why can’t I click Ask Athena? The “Ask Athena” button is gated by your subscription plan. If your plan does not include this feature, the button will be disabled and hovering over it will display an “Upgrade to access Ask Athena” tooltip.
- Why don’t I see insights generated today? The Date Range filter looks at the period start date (which is always a Monday), not the exact moment the insight was generated. If you select a date range that doesn’t cover the start of the week, those insights will be hidden.
- Why did a popup ask me to mark the insight done? When you check off the final remaining action item on a card, the system asks “Mark this insight as done?” to ensure you actually want to resolve the card. You must confirm this prompt to move the insight out of your Open queue.
- Why can’t I see older content opportunities? Content opportunities might be hidden because they fall outside your selected Date Range filter, or because they have been completed/deleted. Scroll to the bottom of the Opportunities tab and expand the “Filtered out by date”, “Completed”, or “Deleted” lists to find them.
